Digging and filling holes in our cozy pixel RPG
I couldn't sleep
Last night I dreamed about the game. Properly dreamed: I was standing on Veyl with the hoe in my hand, and several things we could still make better popped into my head. After that I lay awake and just wanted to get to my computer. So I got up early and started working. Here is what is already in the game this morning.
Dig holes, fill them back in

With the hoe you can dig a hole almost anywhere on Veyl. What's new is what happens around it: the hoe clears grass and flowers on the spot, so you don't have to cut them first. And a hole isn't forever. One short press with the hoe fills it back in, and the grass is back afterwards.
With a controller, filling a hole didn't work at first. I noticed it while testing, and it's fixed now. A short press of the action button is enough.
Fighting with a tool in your hand
If an enemy shows up in the middle of digging, you don't have to switch first. You can strike with the hoe still in your hand. Your hero also jumps now, and eating has its own sound.
What we're building right now
We're working on the watering can. One direction works already, the others follow soon. The chest is also getting a new layout, so it feels equally good with mouse, keyboard and controller. I'll show you more soon.
Now I'm going to get a coffee. The night was short, but I'm in a good mood.
See you soon,
